Who are we?We are Zarathushtis of Atlanta, Georgia. Zarathushtis are the followers of the ancient Indo-Iranian (Persian) faith founded by Prophet Zarathushtra (Zoroaster) around 600 BCE to 500 BCE. In current times Zarathustis (or Zoroastrians) are prominently found in India, Iran and in the western world. While we are refered to as the "Zarathushtis" in Iran and the "Parsees" (meaning People of PARASA - Persia) in India, in Atlanta we are the "Parslantans".Over the years, several Zarathusti families from India, Iran and other parts of the world have settled in Atlanta; and to them Atlanta is home now.

Our missionTo seek Ahura Mazda's (God) blessings, be happy, healthy and lead an honest and charitable life through the path of Hummata, Hukkta, Huvrsta (Good Thoughts, Good Words and Good Deeds). We want to partake in building America (our adopted country) and help the communities in which we live. We want to rub shoulders with our fellow Americans and yet preserve our identity. |
